Foam Sanding Discs achieve a consistent scratch pattern while minimizing the risk of pressure marks and over-sanding. They are excellent for finishing and polishing.
Let us start with the simplest type of abrasive, paper-backed abrasive. SurfPrep’s sandpaper is yellow and is a conventional paper-backed abrasive that people are most familiar with. The lower and medium grits are good for sanding and smoothing raw wood for stain or paint prep, and for the removal of some existing finishes. The middle and higher grits are good for sanding veneers in preparation for stain or paint and when sanding between primer or clear coats on flat surfaces. Some of the best-prepared surfaces for stain are achieved with SurfPrep’s yellow paper.
